She implied I had a chance with her If only I would listen, Though she was very careful Not to say it quite that way, So I did exactly what she mentioned And called that very day. The move to call was difficult But I finally found the way. Since first the nightmare started I can now sincerely say I'm filled with hope and confidence And the pain has gone away. I,ve learned a bitter lesson And I'm a very different man, I see the world through sober eyes And only now I realize That this is where my future lies, Not in alcohol and alibis, But with the truth of who I am And what I'm yet to be. For I know and it's so true, My world is what I make it, And I alone can make the choice. I can stand up and face my devils Or fall down and just ignore, With empty lame excuses That I'm doing nothing wrong Or, I can listen to my heart, And through it there I'll see The person who I really am - Myself, And learn to master me.

Through the circle of time Somewhere beyond yesterday, Inside my broken heart There hidden, Still shines a ray of hope. And I have wanted long For what seems now Forever and a day, Eternity plus one, if you may, And I will wait that long again For you, If time would only let me, But I fear the sickle Leaves its' mark too soon On latent lovers waiting, As the moon retreats Beneath the suns' warm glow And disappears beneath The shadows there to show Where once it was, A ghost of what it used to be. The spectres of our love Once bright, Now only fading shadows, Illuminating light To mark that we were there. The question still remains, Did anybody care? And if they did, then who's to say, Where we really there?
| True Love | |||||||||||||||||

Time has no bounds Nor wraps itself in pity, It is endless, infinite and lasting, So as my love for you Is carved from the granite of life And polished with desire and joyful tears. It is suble and cunning as a thief For it can rob you,needlessly Steal from your heart, Haunt the very being of your soul And test your sanity. True love borders on the edge of reason But remains lasting and unshakable. And sometimes, when you least expect it, From the depths of fear and mistrust True love prevails To rise above the ashes of your pain And conquer your deepest fears, To bring you happiness Out of the darkness and the rain. Moral: Love won too easily Will only want and search again.
